From RCB to RSB
The following advice is for retailers when handling foreign bankcards.

For more information, visit the Cartes Bancaires web site www.cartes-bancaires.com, or consult the CB guidebook, "CB le guide".
  Compare the signature
When a signature is required, the signature on the receipt should be compared with that on the back of the card.

Authorisation is only a phone call away
Do not hesitate to phone the authorisation centre to have a transaction approved.

  Identify the cardholder
Ask the cardholder for an ID or passport.

  Security at a glance
Check for the presence of visible security features on the card: the absence of a hologram or a watermark which is visible under a UV light used to check banknotes is indicative of a counterfeit.

  Check the card number
Check that the card number printed on the retailer's receipt is the same as the number on the cardholder's card.
