Getting L@belsite, a guarantee of online sellers'
quality and security, is quick and easy!
An Internet e-commerce site accreditation system
established in 1999 by FEVAD (French federation of distance selling
companies), L@belsite is a response to online buyers' need for trust
and security. By mid-2003, 30 e-commerce sites had received the
L@belsite seal, and a further 15 audits are in progress.
Fill out the online form
The applicant e-commerce site fills
out a brief details form on the labelsite.org site
(sub-section Get the seal); an accreditation file
is then sent.
The site audit and audit report
After sending back the accreditation
file, the site is audited by independent certified
auditors. The applicant receives a copy of the audit
report.
In the event of non-compliance, the relevant site
must implement corrective measures before a new
audit is carried out. Cost of the authorisation:
1,000 euros.
The accreditation committee's
decision
Compliant site reports are submitted
to the accreditation committee, an entity comprised
of some ten experts, which makes the final decision
whether or not to issue a seal.
Obtaining the seal
The accredited site receives the
L@belsite seal and is listed in the labelsite.org
site directory. This L@belsite accreditation - valid
for one year and renewable by a surveillance audit
- guarantees that the site complies with the L@belsite
rules based on remote selling legislation and the
profession's code of ethics.
