The annual survey carried out in September by Sofres*
on a sample of 1073 individuals has once again confirmed that the
CB card is more than ever the preferred method of payment of the French
(70%).
At the same time, the percentage of cardholders has continued to rise:
87% of the French aged 18 and over have at least one bankcard. In
France, the frequency of card use is still very high (payments and
withdrawals); cardholders' use of their card outside France has continued
to grow, reaching 87% for payments and 83% for withdrawals. Finally,
cardholder satisfaction has remained at a steady high in France, and
for use abroad it has risen to 98% for payments, but tapered slightly
to 87% for withdrawals. |
