2003, a record year!
Like Eftpos terminals and CB bankcards, the 40780 CB Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) (up 4.6% over 2002) are also migrating to the new EMV standard.

In 2003, 1.245 billion withdrawals were made from these ATMs.
Last March, the number of ATMs that had been switched to EMV was exactly 3935. The remainder, already fitted with mixed B0' EMV readers since July 2001, will be upgraded by mid-2004. The introduction of the new EMV standard requires banks to adapt the hard and software of all their ATMs.)
