To meet the new international standard, bankcard payment equipment must comply with the CB 5.2/EMV specifications that provide terminals with an even greater level of security and international interoperability.
Several payment terminals have been granted CB 5.2/EMV approval and accept both French and foreign EMV cards.
The list of CB 5.2/EMV approved terminals is regularly updated and can be viewed on the Cartes Bancaires "CB" website at www.cartes-bancaires.com, click on Information, Merchants Information.
