New transaction records in December have once again confirmed the card's status as the preferred method of payment in France. There's no doubt that the CB bankcard is starting the New Year on a high. Its positive prospects even extend to the public sector, as you will read in this issue's feature section. Its growing use is helping smooth the way between citizens and their state public services, while also cutting costs: two prime goals in the e-administration project. Even more symbolic, the principles underlying the card's operation form the basis for the new administrative cards currently in the development stage. This is certainly recognition of the CB system's performance and of the expertise of Cartes Bancaires, which is applying the full breadth of its know-how to the e-administration project in support of the ongoing digital revolution. An excellent New Year to all!
