EMV: meeting
our goals!
With the Internet, trust is the key to online purchases. If you are an online retailer, you should take note of these basic recommendations to reassure your current and future customers.

  Clear content …
accessible at a single click!
Right from the homepage, provide your customers with clear information about your identity and your terms and conditions of sale (product offering, prices, etc.).

  Security above all else
Ensuring maximum security for card payments is a key element in building trust and confidence. In particular, make sure you ask your customer to provide the visual cryptogram or secure code (the last three digits on the signature panel on the back of the card). This security mechanism has been mandatory since last January.

  Never store personal data!
You must comply with the regulations regarding the protection and confidentiality of personal data provided by your customers. Never store this data.

Comply with a code of ethics
Compliance with a quality charter or code of ethics, such as that of FEVAD (French Federation of Distance Selling Companies; www.fevad.com) is a plus. For example, you can apply for approval by a recognised label, such as l@belsite, at www.labelsite.org.
