The European Eufiserv network operates in accordance with the principles of the European Payments Council (EPC). To comply with the injunctions of the European Commission demanding greater competition and improved quality in transborder payments, Eufiserv manages access to ATMs in Europe for international cardholders. The network is also carrying out research into the development of additional services or extending the network of sales outlets. In October 2003, Eufiserv connected over 57,000 ATMs and 66 million bankcards through its network.
