On 28th September 2005, Cartes Bancaires got the ball rolling on a series or meetings with the banks, starting with Société Générale. The aim of these meetings is to generate greater awareness of the areas in which CB operates and boost understanding of its major role, alongside the banks, in building the SEPA. During the meeting, the Cartes Bancaires management team addressed topics such as the CB security policy, the leading role of its new authorisation network, interbanking regulations and the application of European Directives, the challenges when developing products and services, new technology, the European market and current projects.
After Société Générale, other similar meetings were held on with CIC, with Banques Populaires, with HSBC and with BNP.
