Early October, Visa Europe began an accreditation procedure for Cartes Bancaires' DEA (Department of Evaluations and Accreditations) to assess the level of security of bank-card manufacturers' production sites in the European Union.
At these sites, only a single audit will be carried out by CB, thereby keeping costs to a minimum. This audit will result in an audit report, as is already the case for manufacturers working within the context of CB accreditation. This audit report will be forwarded to Visa and used as the basis for Visa's accreditation.
