Twenty million bank cards last year, 28 million today, and a potential for around 50 million*… In just a few short years, the number of bank cards has risen dramatically in Turkey apace with the transformation of the country's banking system. The outlook is very positive in this dynamic country of 73 million people with its growth rate of close to 10% in 2004. A market where French companies have a strong foothold, such as in the case of manufacturer Oberthur Card Systems which was recently awarded a contract by Oyak Bank.
