| Public and private services opt for the purchasing card |

 |
| The Corporate Card
market is experiencing
renewed growth.
Cécile Place, Head of Products,
BNP Paribas observes
“over the past few
months, we have
seen renewed
interest and calls for
tender from public and private
organisations of all sizes
and in all regions”. The French
decree of October 2004 authorising
public services to pay
for purchases with a Corporate
Purchasing Card, is effectively driving the
acceptance of this means of payment. The
public sector is gradually expanding the range
of suppliers and types of expenses that can
be paid for with a Purchasing Card, paving the
way for interesting developments. In the private
sector, where dedicated professional
cards for travel and entertainment expenses
are now widely in use, the Purchasing Card is
still under examination. Companies see that
they can computerise the purchasing process
from purchase to invoice, making it even easier
to control their expenditure. The Purchasing
Card has a bright future ahead... |
